Sou Wellington Fugisse, 30 anos, estou no mercado de fotografia de casamento há cerca de 8 anos, tendo fotografado mais de 500 eventos durante a carreira.
Minha paixão por pessoas me levou até a fotografia. Ela se tornou para mim uma ponte para conhecer gente querida e suas histórias e poder compartilhar com o mundo a riqueza interior que habita dentro delas.
Contar a história de alguém é uma espécie de tributo, de homenagem, é um modo especial de honrar a trajetória única de alguém e isso me encanta.
Como fotógrafo, adoro o desafio de sempre em estar em busca de algo mais. O aprendizado na fotografia é um processo que não acaba nunca. Todos os dias da minha vida se tornaram oportunidades de ampliar minha percepção, de enxergar além do óbvio, de perceber as nuances e sutilezas. Minha carreira acabou voltada sobretudo para o universo dos casamentos, provavelmente porque eu acredito profundamente no casamento e vivo uma experiência linda e verdadeira em minha própria família. Sou muito feliz e realizado no meu casamento e talvez esta seja minha maior fonte e matéria prima pra fazer bem o que faço quando saio de casa para fotografar.
Decidi a partir de 2012 inscrever meu trabalho para concorrer em premiações internacionais, desde então fui listado em 2013 pela associação internacional AGWPJA (Artistic Guild of Wedding Photojournalist Association) e em 2014 pela Fearless Photographers e Junebug Weddings entre os 50 melhores fotógrafos de casamento do mundo. Fui indicado pela Inspiration Photographers como Revelação do Ano em 2014, e como Fotógrafo do Ano em 2015 e 2017 para o prêmio Lente de Ouro, considerado o Oscar da fotografia nacional, em 2017, marquei presença entre os 10 fotógrafos mais premiados do mundo pela Fearless Photographers. Tive também a chance estar do outro lado do jogo e ser jurado em concursos europeus e americanos, e estive presente na bancada de jurados do concurso de fotografias impressas do Wedding Brasil por duas vezes seguidas.
Em abril de 2017 fui palestrante do palco principal do Wedding Brasil (o maior evento de fotografia da América Latina) falando sobre Criatividade para mais de 3 mil fotógrafos. Em março de 2018 estive presente como palestrante em um dos maiores eventos de fotógrafos do mundo, a Fearless Conference, na Europa.
Em 2015 fundei a FineArt Association, uma das maiores associações para fotógrafos da América Latina. (www.fineartassociation.com.br).

I am Wellington Fugisse. I am 30 years old; I have been a wedding photographer for over 8 years and have photographed more than 500 events during my career.
My love for people led me to photography. Photography became a bridge for meeting very dear people and their stories and also for sharing with the world the richness inside each one of them.
For me, telling someone’s story is a tribute, a special way to honor one’s journey and this is really a delightful thing!
As a photographer, I love the challenge and the feeling of always being in pursuit of greater things! In photography, the learning process never ends.
Every single day of my life has become an opportunity to broaden my horizons, to see beyond the obvious, and to perceive life’s nuances and subtleties. I have dedicated my career to weddings, probably because I deeply believe in marriage and have lived a beautiful and true experience in my own family.
I am very happy and fulfilled in my marriage and it is perhaps my biggest inspiration for doing my very best whenever I leave home to photograph.
In 2012 I decided to submit my work to international contests, and since then I was listed among the world’s top 50 best wedding photographers by the Artistic Guild of Wedding Photojournalist Association (2013) and by Fearless Photographers and Junebug Weddings (2014). I was also nominated by Inspiration Photographers as Revelation of the Year in 2014, and as Photographer of the Year in 2015 and nominated for the Golden Lens Award–considered the “Oscar” of wedding and family photography (in 2017) in Brazil.
In April 2017 I was the keynote speaker at Wedding Brasil (the biggest photography event in Latin America); and I had the pleasure to speak to more than 3 thousand photographers about CREATIVITY. In the same year I was listed among the top 10 most awarded photographers in the world by Fearless Photographers (a high profile and very famous wedding association). In March 2018 I was also a speaker at the Fearless Conference in Croatia – one of the biggest photography events in the world. I am an awarded member of a large number of international wedding photography associations (Fearless, ISPWP, WPJA, AGWPJA, WPS, Inspiration Photographers) with hundreds of awarded photos over the world.
